Power Soccer athletes incur significant expenses to compete in one of few sports designed for power wheelchair users. The San Jose Flash must pay gym fees, registration fees with the United States Power Soccer Association, tournament fees to compete nationally, and travel expenses (air fair, hotel, and wheelchair van rental), in addition to purchasing specialized wheelchair equipment.

Playing power soccer develops the self-confidence and communication skills in these athletes necessary to excel in their everyday lives. Your donations allow the San Jose Steamrollers to explore the world outside their local community, meet individuals around the United States with similar disabilities and challenges, and truly belong to a community much larger than themselves.
